Go with the Flow

Whether you’re new to cytometry or looking to brush up on your skills, Bigelow Laboratory’s Introduction to Aquatic Flow Cytometry course is a great learning opportunity. But don’t take our word for it!

“I got a lot of new ideas for how I can use flow cytometry in my own research,” wrote one participant from 2024. “I have had opportunities to use flow cytometry a few times, but I never had the knowledge to really properly take advantage of those opportunities. Now, I feel more confident using the flow cytometer and analyzing and interpreting results.”

Led by experienced flow cytometrists, this course is designed for graduate students, faculty members, aquaculturists, and commercial professionals. It will explore how to apply flow and imaging cytometry to aquatic applications.

The course, which includes both hands-on laboratory training and lectures, runs May 4-8, 2026, at our campus in East Boothbay, Maine.
