Last Thursday, Bigelow Laboratory participated in the Maine Sustainability and Water Conference at the Augusta Civic Center. The annual gathering assembles professionals, researchers, consultants, citizens, students, regulators, and planners to exchange information and new findings related to sustainability and water resource issues in Maine.

During the conference, Senior Research Scientist Christoph Aeppli presented findings from a multi-year PFAS monitoring project in Casco Bay. Research Scientist Robin Sleith presented a poster about the use of sequencing technology to investigate cyanobacterial communities in Maine lakes, and a number of other Bigelowians participated including research technicians Caitlyn Olson and Hannah Sterling (not pictured) and Senior Research Associate Craig Burnell.
Thank you to our crew for representing Bigelow Laboratory at the conference!
