Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences is pleased to share that Jim McManus has recently been hired as the institute’s inaugural vice president for administration and operations.
If Jim’s name sounds familiar, there’s a good reason: he previously served as our vice president for strategy and administration, as well as vice president for research and administration.

In his new role, Jim will support the institute’s recent growth in staff, research portfolio, and physical size. He will also be instrumental in campus planning to anticipate future research and educational growth.
