As an ocean science leader, Bigelow Laboratory<\/strong> is helping Maine bring to bear its competitive advantages and position the state at the forefront of this emerging industry in New England.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together, these efforts highlight how blue biotechnology can diversify Maine\u2019s economy, create high-quality jobs, and inspire the next generation of ocean innovators while building off the state\u2019s treasured maritime history.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications are open for the virtual I-Corps Spark Online: Blue Biotech<\/strong>. This five-week virtual training in customer discovery is led by the University of Maine and the Roux Institute in partnership with Bigelow Laboratory. Running from January 21-February 18, learn best practices for customer discovery and engage in interviews with potential users.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Applications are open for the Maine Blue Biotech Studio<\/strong>, which will take place March 9-19. The initiative, hosted at Bigelow Laboratory by Hatch Blue, will bring scientists, entrepreneurs, and industry leaders together to turn ideas into scalable marine biotech ventures. Applications are due January 23.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
