Beyond temporarily disrupting access to Ocean Point, the storms highlighted the long-term threat rising sea level poses to our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Bigelow Laboratory <\/strong>teamed up with the <strong>Boothbay Regional Climate Action Team<\/strong>, <strong>Gulf of Maine Research Institute<\/strong>, the <strong>Town of Boothbay<\/strong>, <strong>Lobsterman\u2019s Wharf<\/strong>, <strong>Ocean Point Marina<\/strong>, and <strong>Hohonu<\/strong> to address the situation head\u2013on.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this video, Senior Research Scientist <strong>Nick Record<\/strong> explains Bigelow Laboratory\u2019s role in this project and the value of regular monitoring data for ocean forecasting.
