The world\u2019s first blue biotechnology innovation studio commenced on March 9. Organized by Hatch Blue <\/strong>and Bigelow Laboratory<\/strong>, and supported by Maine Technology Institute<\/strong>, the studio brought 10 global teams to our campus in East Boothbay. It was designed to accelerate the application of marine resources into high-value sectors, supporting companies to grow into investable, market-ready businesses. Co-hosted by Bigelow Laboratory<\/strong>, the recent North Atlantic Blue Biotech Summit <\/strong>brought together nearly 200 investors, leaders, supply chain representatives, scientists, entrepreneurs, and policymakers in Portland on March 19. The event highlighted the growing momentum behind creating high-value markets for marine resources and exploring the expanding potential of blue biotechnology.
