The researchers are using cutting-edge prototype technologies mounted on the vessel\u2019s remotely operated vehicle, <strong>ROV SuBastian<\/strong>, to explore midwater biodiversity off the coast of Brazil.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team is imaging animals in both their natural setting and in virtual-reality aquaria in the vessel\u2019s labs to collect data that will provide an unprecedented window into the biodiversity and ecology of midwater communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019ve ever been curious about ocean exploration, now\u2019s your chance to dive between 200-1,000 meters deeper.
