Marine Algae and Microbiota (NCMA) <\/strong>is growing large-scale algae cultures in our greenhouse facility. This summer, the NCMA grew <em>Nannochloropsis oculata<\/em> for <strong>Rising Tide Brewing Company<\/strong>&#8216;s newest brew, <strong>Buckingham Red<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This hoppy red ale was made in collaboration with <strong>Dogfish Head Craft Brewery<\/strong> and <strong>Brad Leone<\/strong> and is inspired by a shared love for the ocean. Buckingham Red contains not only our own home-grown phytoplankton, but also oysters from <strong>Ebenecook Oyster Co<\/strong>.!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Research Technician <strong>Lydia Pinard<\/strong> was able to taste-test Buckingham Red at Rising Tide Brewing Company in Portland this past weekend. Her review? \u201cFruity, hoppy, and well-balanced!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are so grateful for this opportunity to put our algae in the hands of beer lovers throughout Maine!
