Increasingly, scientists are leveraging its potential to improve the future for all life on the planet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On Monday, October 26, join Dr. <strong>Beth Orcutt<\/strong>, vice president for research at <strong>Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences<\/strong>, as she shares innovative uses of marine life and ocean data to solve problems, create opportunities, and foster community resilience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dr. Orcutt has been vice president for research since 2022 and a senior research scientist since 2012. She is an award-winning, internationally recognized expert on deep-sea microbiology, regularly called upon by the government to advise on deep-sea matters.
