Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences<\/strong> is pleased to share that Jim McManus<\/strong> has recently been hired as the institute\u2019s inaugural vice president for administration and operations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Jim\u2019s name sounds familiar, there’s a good reason: he previously served as our vice president for strategy and administration, as well as vice president for research and administration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Jim is an excellent scientist with deep knowledge of our operations and experience running a $2 billion program that funded cutting-edge research.”<\/p>Deborah Bronk<\/strong>, Bigelow Laboratory President and CEO<\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n

In his new role, Jim will support the institute\u2019s recent growth in staff, research portfolio, and physical size. He will also be instrumental in campus planning to anticipate future research and educational growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
