On Tuesday afternoon, Bigelow Laboratory’s Sea Change Semester students presented posters about their research in the Burgess Forum.
Colleagues from across the laboratory engaged with the 11 undergraduates as they shared their findings on a wide range of topics, including the seasonal contributions of larval barnacles, the validation of Secchi disk depths, the use of dinoflagellate biomass to assess the timing of blooms, and more.
Based on the hard work of these budding scientists alone, the future of ocean science is bright. Congratulations to the students on your presentations: thank you for sharing your science with our team!
As you chat through education plans this holiday season, consider applying for the fall 2026 Sea Change Semester! The program is a 14-week experience at Bigelow Laboratory’s campus in East Boothbay, Maine. Applications are open on a rolling basis.
