Thanks to the efforts of the Bioscience Association of Maine (BioME), FocusMaine, and others, Governor Mills last week announced the creation of the Maine Life Sciences Center. This is an important milestone for the state’s life sciences sector, which spans biotechnology, diagnostics and medical devices, marine and aquaculture science, health care innovation, and other related fields.
By attracting investment and fostering innovation, the newly announced center will help organizations like Bigelow Laboratory continue to transform leading-edge science into real-world solutions.
We are grateful for Maine’s support of the research institutions, businesses, and workforce development programs that compose the life sciences industry. Congratulations on this exciting development!
